I was based in Jerusalem in 1996-1997. I edited and wrote for Challenge, a bimonthly Israeli magazine, and reported for The Jerusalem Times, the only Palestinian English newspaper. I also wrote articles for Indian publications such as The Telegraph newspaper and Outlook magazine. I took a year-long course in colloquial Palestinian Arabic and attended Hebrew classes for a few months. Here is a selection of my articles and reports, in reverse chronological order.
